The Full Story
Glacier Aviation Consulting (GAC) was founded in 2019 following the unexpected shutdown of WOW air. At that point, I had spent over two decades working at the heart of aviation safety, regulation, and compliance — in roles ranging from national authority inspector to director-level leadership in airlines. Over time, colleagues and organizations had increasingly turned to me for support, advice, and solutions related to Safety Management Systems (SMS), compliance oversight, and risk-based decision making.
The launch of GAC was a natural next step.
My goal was to offer practical, hands-on expertise to aviation operators — from AOCs, CAMOs and Part-145 organizations to flight schools and ground handling agents — who needed external support with audits, inspections, risk assessments, investigations, manual development, or simply advice from someone who has sat in the seat and understands the real-world pressures.
Since founding GAC, I’ve supported both start-up and established operators, contributed to complex certification projects (including two successful AOC/CAMO approvals), and helped aviation professionals strengthen their management systems, safety culture, and operational resilience.
Glacier Aviation Consulting stands for depth of experience, regulatory knowledge, and operational insight — all delivered with personal commitment and professionalism.

The name itself is inspired by my favorite glacier in Iceland, Snæfellsjökull — a symbol of perspective, strength, and clarity that has always resonated with me.
